Keep it honest please. I wouldnt mind if you were a mod, but lets not use aliases. I wont, but then again I dont want to be a mod.

I'd let more stuff slide. I wouldn't nit pick like someone else on here does. But then again, wouldn't really care anyway, nor would I go to the lengths to create other names to get myself in. Even if I were voted in, I'm sure some of the current mods would swear up and down I cheated.

I agree with squeak -- it's not like "just anyone" is given the authority to shut someone else down temporarily for any ol' reason. Some intelligent folks have taken on the tremendous role of forum daddy, in some respects, to help keep it clean, legal, interesting, and fun for everyone.

The mods have power, yes, but more importantly, they have a responsibility to the forum and its members. I think they are doing an excellent job, all things considered, including the one who just posted he was quitting. It's not easy, and I applaud them doing it, especially as volunteers.

i say have some kind of system that gives people helper points, since this is a caraudio site and most of the people are help, and there seems to be more flaming than ne thing, have respect/ some kind of points for giving good advice, like say i help some one with a box problem, he requests on the thread im in that i gave him good advice, then have it where it shows that he stated that i gave him good advice, then make it so 4 other people need to agree, then give me one point, it will help out since people always want to get there status higher than others, it will help other than WHORING...... just an idea

Ok i finally thought of idea id like to share on some forums like this one where you can click new posts and it shows you all the latest posts in order of latest time i think it would be cool if when u clicked that and went onto that page you could leave your browser sitting on that page and it would refresh evrey 3-5 mins so it will keep you with newest posts

Cause i know when i just feel like browsing or if theres nothing i can really reply to i like to sit there and look through the list of newest posts and i always have to click new posts if it refreshed automatically i think that would be really cool and easier

It would be nice to see a ranking/experience system under the avatar or something like that.

That way, when beginners ask for advice they wouldn't go off doing what the first person, with a high post count (gained from post-wh0ring in lounge), who just joined last month, with no caraudio experience advised him to do.

In all honesty I think the forum needs stricter mods, a heaping helping of common sense, and a great big hug. I have nothing against you goddy or any of the other mods. I just don't like the downward slide the forum is taken over the past couple of years. It's not yours, or any other mods fault really. It's a public forum, and there are some here trying to learn, and or help. Allot of people here now act as if they were born with an amp in one hand and a fist full of wire in the other. I know it's a PITA to repetitively answer the same question 14 gazillion times. But is it really that hard ?? A simple link is all that is needed most of time. My time is as valuable as anyone else's, but I still try to help to the utmost of my abilities. If I have no clue about a subject, I do what comes easiest to me . I DON"T POST. LOL, Stricter mods ? Have you seen the shit I've taken over the last year or so for being strict ? Hell, even moving a thread to the correct section and informing the person that it was in the wrong section gets me backtalk, which gets deleted, then I get flamed for deleting their posts, then I get a new thread made about me because I closed their thread because the original poster wouldn't go back on topic, and then 50 other people join in flaming me ...
