HOCKEY FANS: Would you still watch if fighting went away

i would watch hockey any day no matter what.

i love hockey, and its a great sport. its not like basketball or football where scoring is easy (and i love both those sports too). but when you score in hockey it is exciting. it gets you pumped, same thing with the checks, fights, great saves, hard shots, clangin one off the tinker.

everything about hockey is amazing. if you dont enjoy it much i definately recommend going to an nhl game or even an ahl game (i go to the grand rapids griffins every friday they play and many saturdays too. 13$ tickets, 1$ beers and hot dogs on friday night. its an amzing time.

and if your a gamer, i definately recommend nhl 09, i play it every day and you really get into it

Ah, I go to a WCHA school and go to almost all of our home games, we **** but I love hockey.

i live hockey... and as from detroit i am with detroit, so i rarly see them fight, if it is its downy or mccarty but them fools dont play at all really, fighting should be allowed they do it right, they fight and then brek it up

Yes, because I don't watch hockey specifically for the fighting and I won't miss anything without it.

yes, but fighting is part of the game. if you don't like it, don't watch it. Fighting sends a message. If players don't want to fight, they don't. I think it should be up to the players if there is fighting or not

Players quite often get pushed into fights they didn't want to be involved in. I agree that it was a part of the game in the past; I don't see why it HAS to be going forward. This idea that fighting is necessary to protect players is a bit misleading, especially when you consider that players are protected in other sports by the regular rules and regulations....no fighting necessary.

I agree it should be up to the players to decide...I just don't think it's as necessary to hockey as some pro-fight fans do. Another example....some of the best hockey you'll ever see is in international competitions (World Cup, Olympics, WJHC, etc.). How many fights do you see?

Not that fighting would ever go away, but I'd still watch it.

Hockey is my favorite sport, I'll play it and watch it any day of the week.

I started playing hockey when I was 8 and played all the way up till college. I played goalie my whole life and am now getting into skating out. I will never stop watching or playing hockey for the rest of my life.

NHL 09 is a pretty decent game as well... I have an OFD be a pro in his second year palying for the wings and I just started a SNP LW playing for the Griffins. Absolutely love that game.
