HO charging too low at idle??

At idle my battery is reading 12v and the HO I just got is charging only at 5 amps

At 1.5-2K rpm tho it jumps to 14.4v+ and charges 150a.

Is it normal for HO alternators to have such low charging and voltage at idle?
