You're going to need to do the big three when you get a HO alternator anyway, why not do it now(the right way) and get it over with? It'll make installing the new alt go by much quicker when you get one.

hmmm only 3 wires well ill try it but i only feel like changing the alt and batt wires

buying a HO alt and using stock wires is like using 8 gauge wire to run an amp pushing 1000+ watts.

do the big 3, and if that doesnt work get the alt.

if your uncomfortable doing the big 3, most any shop can probably do it.

After my ordeal with installing my HO alt, i'd definitely do the Big 3 either before or at the same time as getting the alt.
