I have a 1989 Ford Bronco 2 and I beleive I only have a 40 amp alternator on it. Eventually I want to be running 2000-2500 watts rms so I have decided to upgrade it. I have been looking online to find a decently priced alternator to replace it with and I belive I have found one. Its 140amps http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/details/QQFordQQBronco_IIQQPowermasterQQAlternatorQQ19841990QQP66857140.html

I am not very expeinced with this stuff, so tell me what you guys think. Will be be sufficient to run 2000-2500 watts rms? Any help is appriciated

P.S. I will also be running 1 or 2 extra batteries depending on the setup.

i've never heard of a stock alt being 40 amps. either way. i think you should go just a little bigger. get price quotes from various companies then see which one you feel you get a better deal with. 140 is good but i think you could find bigger for around that price range.
