You could add the woofer, but not the tweeter. With more than one tweeter there will always be phasing problems. If they are different tweeters this will be even more apparent. This is not a problem at lower frequencies, but very noticalbe at high freq's.
Aiming more than one tweeter at the listener is commonly done in loud rock shows, but with the understanding that your increasing phasing and loosing clarity to gain volume. Using fewer higher power drivers is prefered to the old wall of speakers method.
If you just want mid bass you could add the other woofer with a new LP crossover, 500 hz or lower as a dedicated mid bass. Either passive or acive. You will probably need a new passive crossover because the old one was desinged to work with the impedence from both the tweeter and woofer. With a driver missing the crossover point will be twice as high and sound terrible.
