Highs and Mids question

I am running a set of Cdt hd62AS comps / 6.5 mids and 1" tweeters and another a set of tweeters-they call them front imaging tweeters and 2 way passive crossovers and i have them run off a kicker 400.4 amp and ordered a PPI 900.4 amp. I am wondering should i use the passive crossovers or should I try and run them active. What is involved and pros and cons ?

Active all day.

Just need to have your crossover points set properly for each set of drivers...

80hz-100hz hpf, 3.5 - 5khz lpf for mids

3.5k to 5k hpf fur tweets.

12db+ slopes.

Play with points and slopes..

Yep. more tunable.

Problems in a passive set that you can't fix, can be fixed (most of the time) in an active setup.
