Higher Amp rating or Sub rating???

which is better?? to have a higher amp rating than sub rating or vica versa??

i will have 1500 watts rms (subs) so do u guys reccommend getting a 1500 rms amp or should i "play it safe" with a 1800 watt?

3 - MA Audio 6 ohm dvc 1000w max (500 rms) wired parallel for 1 ohm (total 1500 watts rms) with a hifonics amp, either bx1500 or bx1800.... not sure which one to go with...

bx1500 = 1500 watts rms @ 1 ohm

bx1800 = 1800 watts rms @ 1 ohm

 
It is nice to have plenty of reserve power. If you buy a smaller amp it has to work harder than a more powerful amp to produce the same amount of power. Plus if you ever want to upgrade you will already have the power for new subs.
