lol.....you posted playing it safe with the bigger amp!!... get the 1800 if it even does 1800 ... besides those ma's could handle a true 1800.. so don't worry bout it..
as long as you arent stupid about setting the gains i really wouldnt worry about blowing them unless those subs are extremely overrated you should be ok man.
It is nice to have plenty of reserve power. If you buy a smaller amp it has to work harder than a more powerful amp to produce the same amount of power. Plus if you ever want to upgrade you will already have the power for new subs.
