Rainbow subs

i've heard all their Vanadium and Audiophile subs, not the the SL's tho- If I could afford the Vanadiums they would be in my car as we speak:(

A local maxima owner had a 10" Vanadium in a 0.6cu/ft sealed box running off an Arc xxk5150(5ch, sub ch is only rated for 180-200rms) and it was the by far the best sounding single 10" setup I've heard in my life- it had incredible output for the wattage given its rated to take much higher, very efficient

How do you think the Rainbow 6.5" 3 way and 2 10' Vanadiums will sound?

Gotta find amps now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Rainbow makes excellent stuff-they are an SQ dedicated company

Not everybody runs them because 1) they are expensive, 2) dealers are scarce

3)highly restricted line

Well I have not heard a 3way set....only 2way Pro's and 2way Profi Vanadiums

But if you speak on the Pro line, my Arc ACS set is made by Rainbow for Arc and sports the same CAL25VAF 22mm silk dome tweeter as the Pro series but a different mid- I attempted to piece a 3way set myself, but ended getting a sweet deal on a 2x2 upgrade sporting an Extreme Kickbass 6.5" high efficiency mid- just waiting on some kicks-

but my ACS's are just about the same as the Pro line

When word got out that the ACS had the Pro tweet and rumored Contour Line mid- In '04 Rainbow renamed it the Profi line, and ditched the Contour Line completly-obviously competing with each other, the ACS($449) was a better choice than the Contour($469) at same MSRP and ~$150 cheaper than the Pro set($549-599)

See sig- so i'm basically running a Rainbow DWS-( dual woofer system)

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I'm pretty sure this is what I'll be running in the near future

Any suggestions on what amps and what power to run these with, I've been looking real hard at the Arc lines and would like to get some prices on Helix and Tru but have had no luck so far.

Any of those choices would be exellent if they are in your budget

You can't get their subs online anywhere I have looked.......someone is helping me get them through a dealer.

I sell a decent amount of them and they are by far the best sounding SQ subs Ive used. The car with the 5150XXK and Vandium 10 install that 3.5max was talking about was one of my customers. Needless to say the guy could not have been happier and was alot more than he expected.

Very efficent subs, so only a little bit of power is needed to make them move a bit.
