Ya, just try that first then.

would 1 12" be worth it? that would give me alittle more then 2 8's will. 2 8's are 100.58 sq inches and 1 12" is 113.04. Would that even be worth doing? The are 13sq inches difference, but the 1 12" will take up more space then the 2 8"s.

It's hard to say man what'll be louder with this small of difference, but the numbers are what they are.

ok then, ill just try the 8's and go from there. i figure the 1 12 would be louder due to it being more efficient then multi ports but it takes up more volume

More ports you have the higher chance of cancellation you have, just fyi fun fact.
