So, I have come to the conclusion that I need a HO alternator to power my system. My budget maxes out at about $300.

It will be going into a '98 Jeep Cherokee. It needs to power a Kicker ZX1500.1 and a Zapco Reference 650.6.

I was able to find a Mean Green HO alternator I might be able to get for around $200 (never installed). Not sure if these could be recommended?

Well, only thing is I don't know exactly how much longer I'll have this Jeep, so I don't wanna spend a whole lot. Will a Mean Green suffice for a couple of years?

save up and get dc or mechman, ohio generators is to expensive for you. but if you save another 100 to 200 bucks, youll have obe of the most reliable ho alts on the market.

Mean green used to be recommended quite a bit. Haven't saw that name thrown around in a while though. Do some looking around and see what the reviews are like before buying. Also post a wtb on this forum and someone may have something within your budget.
