high end front speakers

not to be a thread jacker but i bought some rockford fosgates P162S.

i was wondering if they were worth the 220$... i liked the sound off of the sound board but it was off of radio power but i was told they would do much more amped.

I have an amp in mind - its a ppi 2200m from the early 90's. I will check out the door install sticky (tonight on company time). Im on the verge of buying the mb quart qsd 216's on ebay. Think that would pair up well with the ppi amp?
