I just found the eagles hotel California ins 192khz/24bit. doing to compare it to the 44khz/16 bit version see if i can hear the difference..

I looked into this a few years ago. Hdtracks.com has been caught selling hi res albums that are from the same master used to make a CD. Check dr.loudness-war.info before completing your purchase.

also remember before a certain time period most stuff was recorded with analog tape, then after most were adat (16bit 48khz) of course it can be "up-converted", but all that does it add blank space imho

Well my pos wont play it. Apparantly kenwood is the only one that will play 24bit 196khz recordings.
