Hifonics VS. Infinity

I am getting rid of my 5 channel amp and want to run 2 dedicated amps, one for the sub and one for the speakers. I am running the RE SE 10" d4 sub and will be running the RE xxx6.5 componants up front and the RE5fr coax's in the rear doors of my Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. Any opinions on what would be a better amps selection, the Infinity Kappa one & four, or the Hifonics Zeus ZRX 1000.4 & 2000.1. I was looking at the RE XT series as well but think the 4 channel would be too weak for the XXX 6.5's, RE XT2000DE & XT800.4. Like all i want good reliable amps with good sound qualities that can push my stuff and get loud but on somewhat of a budget

Infinity amps hands down. Much better quality than Hifonics.

I've had good luck with the Zues mono and 2-channel, however haven't used the Infinity or RE XT Amps so I'm not of much help. I do own an RE Audio DTS 500.2 and it works well, but feels cheap.

ive owned both.... Infinity hands down (more SQ oriented too), Unless you get into the brutus series Hifonics is bunk

ok i have no friggin clue what amps to get, i was thinking quality old school instead of new cheaper amps. How about old school Rockford fosgate amps the 800a4 for my re xxx 6.5seperates and the 800a2 bridged mono for my RE SE 10d4. any advice i am in termoil here guys LOL

I just picked the old school punch 800a4. Better than most newer amps on the market today. Now you need to get a good mono to compliment it well.

You can do better than Hifonics stuff and you know that.

..lol..aint many old school 4 channel 640 watt 1/2 ohm stable Analog/Bi-Polar amps around these days.

...yea, .05 THD is **** hard to find in a 1200 watt amp

The PMA640 is that bad? I've heard really mixed reviews on it. At least a few people have said it does clean rated power, but others such as yourself say it is junk, which is unfortunate because it would fit my needs perfectly.
