Fine....this is from the 2003 hifonics pdf...
Bass Remote:

HFR-1 bass remote controls bass gain from a remote location. Includes a 18' cord and the HFR-1 control. Also features "On" LED and "Diagnostics" LED.

I never implied that it magically pushes more power to the sub. I said it ATTENUATES the signal. The bass boost, loudness button, etc boosts certain frequencies. The remote bass control does NOT do that..
