Hifonics Opinions?

Good or bad... I don't care.

Frys Electronics sells them... and I've usually noticed that major electronic chains(Frys, Best Buy) carry lower end stuff. But the Hifonics HFi100.4 seems to fit my application so perfectly for a decent price.

Suggestions? Comments?

They are decent amps for the price but don't always do rated though, Granted they will do very close to rated if you can keep the voltage up.

I bought the exact amp your talking about. Had it for little over a month.

Hifonics HFi100.4 (HFi 100.4) Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier/Amp

Umm.. so far i'm pretty happy with it. Haven't had any problems.. i'm not like super impresssed by it or anything...but just the fact i paid $150 for a amp that does 100x4ch @ 4ohms. kinda iffy. i'm sure it doesn't do the rated power. but ya. i'm ok with it. give it a try!

Yeah, I mean if I wanted to drop crazy dollars for super high end, I'd get something different. I just need something to put 100watts to each channel ROUGHLY. Especially since I'm gonna have the channels between 2 and 3 ohms... I figure I should get enough power from this.

I just don't want anything that's crazy expensive, just want enough power for a car full of speakers, nothing extreme or competition grade.

I'm not sure what your budget is but mb quart dsc4125's are excellent amps for pretty cheap and will put a ton of power also, I would look into one of those also.

Good call. The dsc4125 is the same price as the HiFonics one and seems to have much better power ratings. Any other recommendations for that general power range? But so far the MB Quart is the road I'm gonna go it seems.

In that power range nothing will touch the 4125 for the price.

Comps for sure, lot's of good one's out there for $120 or less a set.

theres tons of threads like these about hifonics, do a search.

Hifonic's top lines like xx/xxv are awesome amps that do rated.

people compare them to sundown and call hifonics a pos... and people claim that you pay the extra dollars for warranty and the customer service that the man offers.... but if someone don't care for customer service or the warranty crap then it might not be the decision to make.After all, we do change amps more than we change our cloths, so who is concerned about customer service //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That's what I thought until I got the Kappa Perfects and they sound like A$$.

Just trying to get everything sorted out since I seemed to spend a good $400 or so on my install only to take it a step backwards lol
