Hifonics LED Color Change

Hey. Just got my Hifonics BXi1606D hooked up, and while it looks great, the blue 'clashes' with the rest of my car (yeah, it's in the trunk, so the difference isn't glaring, but still, all of my interior lights are red). I'm wondering if anyone here has tried changing the color of the LEDs from blue to something else, and if so, how difficult was it, what mcd LEDs did you use, and what voltage were the LEDs designed for. I'm guessing the ones in there are pretty standard ~2.1 volt max LEDs, but I want to know what to get and what I'm in for if I decide to try and change them. Anyone?

i would never do it as it voids your warranty but its very easy to do

Generally red LED's have lower forward voltages. A resistor might be needed. You would have to read the voltage at the LED to determine what value.

Not worried about the warranty, as I'm not the 1st owner anyway.

Guess I'll just have to pop it open one of these day and do a little 'research' with a multimeter...
