hifonics hfi2000d no sound

I have two kicker cvrs 12", both are 2 ohm speakers, i have them wired in series so they have a 2 ohm load

I was using one of my old pioneer amps till I got my new hifonics hfi2000d in the mail the other day. I went to hook it up and the power light comes on but there is no sound. I am using an old Boss gain knob for my old amp still that connects via RCA cables. Since the hifonics amp comes with a boost knob I was wondering if I cant use the old one with it... maybe thats why I aint getting any sound? I have a very good ground, its about half way through the body in my car, so I know that isn't the problem.

The reason I think it isn't working is because I'm trying to use 8 gauge wire to power it for now. On the website it says the minimum is 4 gauge so I ordered a kit from knukonceptz and that will be here on Monday.

When my buddy got his 2000W hifonics, he accidentally hooked both + to one sub and both - to the other. Double check your speaker connections, sometimes they are layed out + - + - instead of + + - -.

it should "work" on 8 gauge, you really need 1/0 wire. get rid of the bass knob for now, they **** anyway, and double check all connections power, ground, remote etc. the amp doesn't know what size power wire your using, lol
