I have an old Hifonics 100 cyclops already and just recieved a used set of kicker comp free air subs rated at 150w rms. I know it is a one chanel amp but can I wire it so the hifonics will power both subs? If so how well will it drive them? I don't care if it is a perfect fit, I just want good sound. I looked on crutchfield and did see a diagram that looked like just wiring it in paralell would work.

The subs are going in a 93 pickup ex cab lower part of the truck.

Thank you for your help.

Oh yeah what do you think of the subs?

The subs are mounted in the ex cab on the sides of the truck. So if you are sitting in the back seat they would be down directly to the side of the truck. This is what I could find for specs on the amp:

Power ratings at 11.5 to 16V:

1 x 100W @ 4 ohms (

1 x 175W @ 2 ohms (

S/N Ratio: 113dB

Freq. Response: 2Hz ∼ 200kHz (-3dB, 1 Watt)

Power Bandwidth: 10Hz ∼ 32kHz (-0.1dB)

Damping Factor: 150 (20Hz to 200Hz)

Fuse: 20A (4 ohms) or 30A (2 ohms)

Dimensions: 8.75" x 6.1" x 2.5" (22cm x 15.5cm x 6.3cm)

Weight: 3.5 lb. (1.6 kg.)

The woofer just has a pos and a neg spade for wiring. Not sure if that is what you were looking for?

Any suggestions on how to install them to get them to sound better?

Thank you for helping me.. It's taking me longer than expected to get up to speed..

Bill
