Hifonics Bxi 2608

Finally recieved this amp in the post. was supposed to get this ages ago but had paypal episode.

Have upgraded to this from my hifonics 1606 so cant wait to see the diffence if any this gives me.

Its powering 2 of these pioneer permier tsw 3001 wired to 1 ohm and on the 1606 it wangs hard (deep)

Originally I wanted the Crunch GP3000 but dont know where to find it anymore. If any1 know, pleeze let me know

thats sick dude i was wondering how those amps would work on my Lanzar MAXP154D's.. they're similar to your pioneer just cheaper

nice i just received my 2008d. im not sure if the 2608 is like the 2008 but does yours have fuses on the amp? and if not are you going to put a fuse by the amp? i dont know if we need to fuse by the amp since they have no fuses if your 2608 does not as well.

you need to fuse FOR the amp, somewhere in the power line, doesn't have to be close to the amp or anything, but you need a fuse that will protect the amp, not just the power wire. I assume you're running 0 gauge? Instead of fusing for the 0 gauge's max current draw, fuse for the amp's suggested fuse rating

mine have no fuses dude. my 1606 does but the 2608 does not. Im just going to connect it up direct as in my pic as u can see hopefull that should be ok. (if im wrong any 1 than please advise me 1st)

thats one thing im not 100% sure of so will check it out 1st before I install it

EDIT:: to clarify, I just ordered it.

I personall thing my G&S IS S***t, gets hot and can go into protect, It cant take the rsds I have but I have a JBL GT 75.2, I THINK ITS THIS ONE, the one where it can be bridged and wang out about 200 plus rms per channel so that will most definatly be the replacement. Apart from that, its been ok but is not powerful enough. Looks more preety than what It can put out if u ask me

AARRHH man, that 1606 was a brute. For my 1st main bass amp, it sure delivered but I could tell the subs were hungry for much much more especially in that box as well, tuned to 32hz. As a combination, It sure put out very well if that anwers ur question dude

Yes they are the ones. I think They can go a bit more personally but im no expert

they probably only do 750-850 rms or so. Pioneer subs are cheap for a reason.
