I would take PG (non-Xenon) and Alpine amps over the other afforementioned amps personally.

x2. i would take a pg tantrum 1200.1 over a brutus 1500D anyday. my tantrum is benched at 1494 watts rms at 4 ohms. i know from personal experience the hifonics don't put out rated power. i've heard a lot of people having trouble with the xenon series of PG though.

In his opinion. Well mine also. But there of course are far better than PG (IMO).

Hifonics is a very capable amp. Worth the money.

i dont like the reliabilty of the brutus', had problems with 2 of 5 locally. Played with a 1st gen Colossus... no problems with that sucker. Tested for a few hours on it.

PG Tantrum > Brutus IMO.

i dont like the octane line, but i've only cooked, err used, two of those amps.

havent anything other then tantrum out of those...

the titanium series are the best, but cost a lot. the tantrum series is probably the best option. the tantrum series are very good and reasonably priced. the octane-r is there entry level and i've seen more good then bad reviews on them. i've not really heard anything good on the xenon. seem to have reliability issues. they aren't as underrated as the tantrums. most the xenon's i've seen benched were at 1230 watts whereas the tantrums were benched at around 1450.

I owned BX1500D for about 8 months and didn't have any problems with it. I'd definitely take it over any Audiobahn amps, as well as the Xenon or Octane lines, but everything else PG is superior.

locally? mostly Underground, Elite, Sunset.
