hifonics amps?

ok some say they are rated at half what is labeled others say they're under rated! well im gettin 4 12" hfi12d4 subs(300rms 600peak) i want 300 at least per sub so i was thinkin 2 of these:

both say 600x1@1ohm

but if the amps are over rated i was thinkin going with this and gettin maybe 400 per sub?:

tell me what ya'll think, i have hifonics components and a crunch amp so im tryin to keep it all maxxsonic made and all hifonics as im plannin to get a hifonics 4 channel to replace my 1 month old crunch(lot of static noise at no volume, i assume its the high s/n ratio?)

get one bigger than you need in case it doesnt do rated power and if it does you can always turn the gain down a little....

dont let anyone bullshit ya there good amps. i personaly have experiance and clamped my bxi2006d and seeing 1912wrms @ 13.6v then my XXV thor was 3247 @ 13.3v. now the others txi and such might be over rated.

so if i wanted 400 per sub its safe to get the 1000w and just keep the gain down?

i would just get 4 dual 2 ohm subs wire them all in Series/Parallel to 1 ohm and get the 300wrms per sub a BXi1206,7,8D witch ever will work good. with 2 amps ull have to phase the subs together witch can be a pain in the ***. with the 4 run all together ull disperseing the heat though out all the coils and not just 2, having better efficancy with less heat.

just my insite anyone else?

i agree on getting one big amp instead of 2 but they are a little overated. If i was you i would get the bxi1606 and keep the gains down, so you always have the power on tap and can always push it when you want. You will always be able to give them there rated 300rms each(MAYBE even 400)

im doin 2 amps cause i gettin 4 dual 4ohms so each set is 1 ohm! so each amp will be 1 ohm stable or get 2 2channels and wire to 2ohm per channel! but prolly going with 2 monos and just get either 2 800's or 2 1000's so whenever i upgrade subs i can just up the gain a bit and still be set!

I can vouche for the brutus and xxv amps. they do rated power and stay cool. The only drawback is that are pretty high thd at rated power.

I say get my hk401sx ( 1800wrms @ .5 )

... Wire those D4s in parallel and jam.

That's 450rms on each sub....

... It's STABLE @ .5ohm

I would say an Apline mrp m 650. Worked great on 2 CVR 12s.
