Hifonics Amps???

iv been reading alot of reviews on these amps mostly the Brutus series and i keeped seeing people saying there overrated and now im finding alot that are saying the underrated so im wondering witch is it are the over or under?

what kind of rms should i be getting with a 1606D at 2 and 1 ohm?

iirc they are around 200rms overated

@1ohm u should be seing around 1400 prob less

@2ohm around 900

ok cool well i know this is off topic but i dont really feel like making another thread if i was to wire 2 DVC 4ohm subs to try to get 2ohm out of them if i wired them both like this separate then briged them to the amp would they still run at 2ohm or no since id be conecting them at the end?

no, would be one ohm as it would bridge the amp

**** thats what i figured so if they were on a 2channel non briged the amp will be running 2ohm correct

another question with the Hifonics Brutus 1606D it says mono amp and that its unbrigable yet it looks like it has 2 channel as in it has 2 pos and 2 neg terminals why is that?

I ran a 1606D at 1ohm to my old 12" TC-3000. Powered it beautifully. Now, it may not put out whatever its rated at, however its not far off. This thing got warm, but never hot or overheated. Even running at 1ohm. I was highly impressed with the amplifier myself. It's worked more reliably and better than any other mono amp I've had in the past. And no its not a multi channel, its a mono amp. I can't remember why there it looks like it is. I remember seeing that. yea my brothers JL 1000/1v2 and my homies Lightning Audio S4.1000.1D is the same way there mono amps but have the 2 channel set up i dont really get it

they have 2 negs and pos terminals for ease of wiring, usually parlleled internally.
