im thinking about getting a HIFONICS BX1605D 1600w rms amp for a pair of kicker cvr 05 15"s, im wondering how efficent these amps are and how true of the 1600watts they say they are, im sure quite a few people have experiance with them, my friend has a 1200w hifonics and it hammers his cvr 05 12"s no problem with remote bass at 0 and 5 bass out of 15 bass boost on his alpine hu.

thanks

If you do the big three, and be conservative with the gain, you should be allright, depending on your stock alt amperage, (as far as dimming is concerned.)

They do less than their rated power, but they still can pack a little punch. That could do anywhere from 1200-1600w RMS, varies from amp to amp. They are good for the price though, if Hifonics would lower their power ratings, I would like them a lot more.

I've owned the BX1000d and the BX1500d. Both very solid amps. Produced **** near rated power, has all the settings you would need. And are still working with their new owners. As long as you don't abuse it, it should last long.

Great budget amp. So if money is an issue it is a good buy.

Like Tony said if hifonics lower the ratings of their brutus amps these would much more atractive.

The bx1605d will put out 1200-1300rms@1ohm.

Good solid amp.
