I ordered 2 15" L7s 4ohm a few days ago and was going to run 2 separate amps.. I started looking at the Hifonics 3000 which does 1500w @ 2 ohms. Im still new to audio systems so im not sure if i could run both speakers with this single amp at 1500w per speaker for a total of 3000w with that amp?

I know that i can wire the subs down to 2ohms, but wouldnt that just give me 750w per speaker?

Once again, im still new to this and i apologize in advance if i made no sense what so ever.

Edit. Its the hifonics zeus. 1ohm stable

Are your L7's Dual 4 ohm or Dual 2 ohm. I don't think they are single voice coil.

I also wouldn't run 1500 watts to an L7, I know the lower level stuff can't handle that much more than rated.

Also I think you are talking about the Hifonics Zeus 3000 correct? I would only run the BRZ Brutus line. You haven't ordered the amp yet, so look at different brands, there are a lot better than Hifonics. But I would look at the BRZ 2100. Each sub would get 1050w RMS depending on their voice coil configuration.

Running that much power means you need to do some electrical upgrades.

**You can also run both those off of 1 amp. I think you mean they are DVC 4ohm so they can wire down to 1 ohm.

Also, please build a good box for them. Don't put them into those cruddy prefab boxes otherwise they will sound like poo. Well, I think L7's sound bad anyway but they will sound worse.

Hey E-Rock thanks a lo for the quick reply. They are DVC 4ohm. I do plan on doing the big 3 upgrade and run 0 gauge wire. I figured out a better way to ask the question.. If an amp(zeus as an example) says it can do 1500w @ 2 ohms, does this mean it can do that with 1 speaker only or could it do 1500w @ 2ohms x2 for a total of 3000w?

If the speakers are wired together to produce 2 ohms, the amp will see 2 ohms and output 1500 watts. For both subs will see 750rms.

Since you can wire down to 1 ohm, I would run an amp that does 2000 @ 1ohm. So each sub will get 1000 rms each. You can run several subs on one mono amp, as long as they are all wired correctly.
