Hifonics 1206d + 2 Alpine Type R's

I just got the cutlass and the type r's yesterday and the car is underconstruction so dont flame....lol i know its not in 100% shape....lol......

But Im in love with my hifonics 1206d & 2 type r's. pushin it @ 1ohm about 1000-1100w. I love it just got the type r's for 100 bux...YUP I KNOW GOOD A$$ DEAL....Put them in my aeroported box. It thumps in my 2 door 1978 cutty. It hurts my ears and i can feel it in my throat and my face.....

only problem i have is. When I turn the amp knob master volume all the way up and i start beatin I can only turn it up to like 18/50. any higher n the amp will go into protect. and when i turn the amp knob down i can turn it up a little bit more before it'll cut out...etc

How do i make it so i can turn the amp up 100% and the deck volume 50/50 without the amp going to protect? And also why the hell is it going into protect after a ceratin volume?

And why would you want to turn your deck all the way up? That will cause nothing but clipping.

as said before they are the old version

those are prolly 10 years old

LOL 500rms/1500rms for the newer models

those models are 300rms/1000 max

but those cones tend to blow apart quikly

do you want a cookie, that amp isnt putting out 550 each btw its overrated by 30%
