Typically the bigger the sub the easier and less power it takes to play lower. I'd go with a shallow 10" or 12" if you wanna keep it in the same area and get a custom box made

I just installed the sbr-s8-4 today and i am BEYOND impressed. Alpine did a great job on this subwoofer. I have only listened to it for about 15 minutes and it put's my old pioneer to shame. I can't wait for it to break in.
