Hi, I'm new and apparently an idiot

I said ITS WIRED WRONG. LIKE WIRE DONT GO DER OR WRONG WIRE, nothing about the amp kit...

sheesh
this dude is like der der dur der dur der dur der and hes a god since hes yelling at a new car audio person that his stuff may be wired wrong. take a chill pill dude hes asking for help not verbal ****

Tested the amp with no plugs other than ground, power, and remote. And that was at the hood with 10' of power cable, 1' of ground and a 18 gauge as my remote. Still blew fuses, thus I've come to the conclusion:

My amp is faulty, though you couldn't have suggested that! No way. Next time you jump to conclusions about someones problems, (in the help/support forum) at least go through that tiny list in your big head about what the possibilities are.. other than human fault. I wired it just fine, thank you very much.
someone did mention it. "wired wrong, or fualty amp" and just cuz + is on + and - is on - doesnt mean it was wired correctly. There are alot of other factors that play into it. So please dont get angry for us trying to help. Dont get frustrated either. Just keep trying. you'll get it eventually. We were all noobs once

What kind of equipment are you useing? If you dont mind me asking.

I bought a system off of craigslist. (First mistake)
I wired the 750watt amp with a 1400watt kit as it's all the place had (Second mistake)

The problems:

Everything seems fine. I drive a 2003 Ford Taurus SE... I ran my power cable from the battery (unplugged negative before I did anything) to my amp. Didn't plug it in, grounded my amp, plugged it in. Set up my speakers with a converter and ran them into the RCA inputs. Installed the subs with positive and negative in the right spots.

I don't know where my remote cable would be on a stock head unit, but I'm sure I could figure it out if I could get past this problem.

My fuses in the amp are blowing. Like crazy. Every time I connect the negative terminal. My ground should be fine, I sanded off the paint and connected it right next to the antenna on a bolt that's connected to the frame. I don't have any more fuses, I went through a box... haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Any help is much appreicated.

the12volt.com has diagrams for most vehicles, and most likely yours is included.

How exactly are you running your amp if you say that you can't locate your remote wire?

^Yeah. They are very clearly labled and my ground/power are two different colors. But thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it! Any bit helps.. even if it may be obvious. I'm pretty sure my amp is just fried, though. It's like a 2002 model.

Edit: Tonyroc, I'm not getting mad at anyone who is trying to help. That guy was mocking me and the people trying to help me.

J_Alex: Yes, I am using the correct fuses

Arson: I rigged it up to the power antenna for the time being.

^Yeah, I'm just going to get one.

To answer the question on what I'm using...

2 12" Audiobahn subs, 750watt Pioneer amp. Probably going to go for a decent amp, but nothing too spendy. Any suggestions?
