Is there any point in sticking these in the doors of my 86 civic to get some half decent bass?

I've got a basic Philips head unit, no amp. I just want to get some 1/2 decent bass in my doors, in 6.5" flavor.

I've got stockies in there. midbass? I'd like to get the response as low as I can without spending a lot of money. That rules out enclosures, subs and amps

Then, what you'll want to do is buy a nice component set and put the woofer into your door and mount the tweeter somewhere higher in your door, or where ever there is room.

if you plan on using the hu as your power source i would recommend the fosgate prime components, cheap, and can sound good with low power.

Thanks for your replies. Does anybody know anything about the paper cones in the first post? They are much deeper than most car speakers. I've already got generic silk dome tweeters, I can design and build my own x/overs.
