Right, faith in nothing. Evidently, your faith relies on the fact that you can never prove the non-existence of anything.

I honestly do not understand this sentence, but what I get from it is a misunderstanding of what I said or maybe I just worded what I said poorly. I do not believe in god because his existence cannot be disproved. I believe because I have faith, just as you have faith he does not exist. Neither one can be proven or disproven.

Just to point out why I said what I did:

Science has yet to prove g-d does not exist so for me the status quo is he exists.

What you said right there is that you believe he exists because his existence has not been disproven, but as I explained you cannot disprove the non-existence of anything, including so many other gods that you (as a Jew) assume to be false.

Its why I do not believe the possibility of atheism is wrong along with any other religion. But I do not believe atheism is more evidence based than theism.

I'm on about 4 hours of sleep so coherently portraying my thoughts is a little difficult. But this last sentence sums it up. The mere existence of god (not the truth in the bible or any tradition) cannot be proved or disproved. Atheism has just as little evidence of being correct as theism.

There is no evidence or anything measurable of what happened prior to the big bang. There is no evidence of how the sub particle was created. There are plenty of theories which is all good, but no measurable evidence or even any kind of real correlation. Hell even the big bang is still very very in question due to the laws of physics not being followed.

I am not saying they can't be figured out, but at this point there is nothing.

We can operate on reasonable probability.

The position of atheists is generally that they will believe in god when there is evidence for him, whereas theists say they will believe in god no matter what evidence is presented before them (or, as you have said, non-evidence is good enough). So obviously one is far more evidence-based than the other.

Well I will take your stand is that I believe in god until proven otherwise through evidence just as atheists do not believe in god until proven otherwise. Its all theoretical.

And as I said I am pretty tired so my thoughts are jumbled right now.
