When it comes down to it I believe we just have to accept life for what it is.

I really want more research to be done on the drug DMT though. Our brain naturally produces it and it is released everytime we sleep. When we die or our body thinks we are going to die our brain releases tons of it. Many people theorize that it is responsible for near death experiences. In some animals the gland that secretes it (can't remember the name but it's next to the pituitary) literally has an eye lid over it. Kind of scary when you realize that many religions talk about a "third eye" and it's located right by the gland

There is nothing even remotely scientific about ID. ID thinks that if it disproves evolution, it will prove that god exists.
Let`s say you're an ID "scientist" and have been given a government grant to do a controlled study on anything of your choice. What is your hypothesis and how do you test it?

I have to find this ID pamphlet that got put in our mail box, their deduction on how evolution does not exist is priceless. I just read the first couple posts. You get what I;m sayin though right. Most of the facts cant be disclosed to us so its hard to tell whats really going on. We get maybe half of the story.

You creationists need to watch BBC's "Planet Earth" to get a grip on reality. They show over and over how animals survive in the wild through killing other animals (even eating their own kids), competing to have *** (to the point of killing their own brother), and migrating half way around the globe though the worst environmental conditions that exist anywhere planet just to have a bite to eat.

I am not a fan of ID. It seems like a plan to make straight religion more palatable to those who seek scientific truths.

Read up on Wedge Strategy.

ID was created so it could be presented as a new kind of "scientific" theory which would allow it to penetrate school curriculum and attempt to overturn current scientific standards by allowing for supernatural occurrences and intervention.

The Wedge Strategy is, more or less, an outlined plan by creationist to allow their view to overtake the world.

dude, this is awesome to research. It's not just some stupid theory either, it's actually there. I think we are de-evolving and we could have a much greater level of conciousness...possibly an after life.

Yeah. A good portion of it is still speculation. But very educated speculation. It's always in our system in trace amounts so some people believe that our reality is largely hallucination caused by the drug.

Its also analogous to seretonin which is very interesting.
