I have two dual 1 ohm black cone solo x 12's and two 2500d's @ .5 ea, and I did a 47.1 at the local dbdrag, got 3rd place with my RSX. I had four 4" aero's in it, and roughly 5 cubes. People who run them for a burp setup, do you use big box big port or small box less port even with the same tune?

I'll get pix in a sec.

I know there is alot more i can get out of these things, I think a smaller box with three 4" ports would be better suited, subs firing forward.

This is what I was told for my crx and 2 solox 12's.

Put each on in a 14 tallX14wide by 12 deep and keep it forward firing and ports back, your going to need 3 4 inch ports per box firing to the rear, i belive they need to be 24 inches long each that should leave about 3-4 inches between the back wall or your rex and the port opening. This is tuned only for burps at 58hz

W/these subs, bigger box, bigger port = bigger numbers. A local shop has 4 of the 15" soloX's.

i think im going to try a smaller box with three total ports for both... i dont have room to do three ports per sub without the ports being like 40" long haha...

here is the old box i had!!! lol it was cut for one x 12 but i modded it to toy with at a show, had three 4" aero's in it total for the show i went to (149.9 at kick one 2500d @ .25 ohm) but i tried to lower tuning by blocking it, no good. so i went with the other box.

Jason, IMO these are things I would try to change: increase the port area in comparison to box size, fire subs forward, make the box height lower or better yet make the box much less deep(front to back, not height) and make the ports external, relocate that battery to spare tire well. yes my first thoughts on this results are this: box needs to be shorter, and less wide but i could stand to go a few more inches deep, its just how the car likes it. I need to make the subs fire forward as well. My best #'s were with my Mojo 15's firing forward. Who knows... time to re-think stuff, and all of it may be for sale!!!! woot!

i have a crx. i have the best result running my subs in 12" pvc pipe for the enclosure w/6" aeros for tuning. it makes about 2 db dif. w/ 2 40.1s & 2 12" wardens in street c 154.2 db & in stock pro 1 155.9 db.
