Anyone had any experience with Lanzar Heritage Amp?

Do Lanzar over rate their products?

I'm looking at it's 800w 2 channel amp, bridged for one 500w rms/1000w peak 12" sub.

Specs as below

2x200W RMS at 4 OHMS. 2x400W Max at 4 OHMS

1x800W Max at 4 OHMS Bridged. 2x350W RMS at 2 OHMS

2 Ohm Stereo Stable Operation

Stereo, Bridge and Tri-Mode System Application Compatible

Bridgeable at 4 Ohms

THD: 90dB

Channel Separation: >65dB

Freq. Response: 10Hz~35KHz, 1dB

Yes, the heritage's are over rated.

Lanzar equipment - especially thier amps - span a pretty wide range of performance.

The Optidrive equipment is top notch. Hanging with the Kickers and even JL's of the industry.

The older Vibe series' are some of the better "budget" amps - alongside Profile, Us Acoustics, JBL BP series...

The Heritage looks like it might be one of the more over-rated lines Lanzar has though.

Why do I think that?? Well, I owned a Lanzar Vibe 230 and used it for several months. I thought it was a great amp for what I spent on it, but with a 4 ohm stereo rating of 125x2 I don't think I'd be lying to say it's over-rated by 30 or 40 watts.

Now when you look at the Heritage 234 it has the same on-board fuse size, and same physical dimensions. I don't THINK they use the same board, but I seriously doubt the 234 could be much over 100x2 - MAYBE 400w bridged.

Personally I would only recommend Lanzar Vibe Pros or Optidrive. Wouldnt trust many other lines.

I've owned a vibe 230, installed a 2nd in my sister's boat, currently using 1 430 in my own boat - owned another previously, and have also had a 1200D.

Running an Opti 1000.1D and 200.2 in my car right now.

That being said -

I find nothing wrong with any of the Vibe amps. They are optimisticaly rated, and will overheat if you run them HARD bridged for extended periods of time (as will every other budget amp). But I believe them to be among the best of the decent budget amps.
