Ok so i just measured my ported 12 inch box its 20 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 13 inches long the question is do u think this will run a kicker cvx 12 inch fine or will i run into problems. im runnin a boston acoustics gt-24 amp. the box barely fits in a cobalts trunk so im asking you guys for your opinions?

Considering 3/4" MDF, this would make your box about 1.5cu.ft (slightly less if its a slot ported box). According to Kicker's specs, this is too small for a ported enclosure. Maybe someone who has experience with CVX's will chime in, but I'd say its a tad too small for optimum performance.

Could you provide port diameter and port length?

go big for that sub, mines 2.25, which is the max recommended volume for that sub and it souds great. tuned to 32 htz

the problem is if u kno a cobalt there is really no room to fit the box theres plenty of trunk space its just the hole to put stuff through is small even through the back seat.

yah let me find a pic of a old old my very first sub and amp pic.

trust me it looks bigger than it is u cant fit nothing through the trunk once u get through the entrance though the trunk is roomy

Yea, I know what you mean.

I didn't take that into effect for the box i just built for my Monte... I actually had to remove the trunk latch and the enitre plastic rear cover just to get the box in the trunk.
