On my amp the gain ranges from 9v (min) to 0.2v (max). I have it set somewhere in the middle to be around 1.8v, which is the voltage my HU has.my pre outs are 5v.. how to i match that up with the gain ? bass boost on amp all the way down..
It's probably set around 1.5-3v. Which would certainly be sending your subs a clipped signal.ok sweet.. ill have to check it but its set at 3/4 so its gotta be around 5-7V
You could get an amp like me and have gain that goes from 0.2-2v //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif5v preouts and 3/4 gain might be a problem
yea wow i just went and looked and your right... so wtf.. that kinda makes me a lil mad.. when i talked to aq over the phone and had me set it this wayIt's probably set around 1.5-3v. Which would certainly be sending your subs a clipped signal.

thisI'd say the problem is that he didn't break them in properly before powering them fully. Which is why they would fail in the first five days.
