Alright i just bought a new car (1999 328i) and i promised myself i was not going to touch the stereo...but i can't resist.

heres what i'm working with (suprisingly huge)

heres what was in my last car since i havn't posted in a while and i just wanna show you guys i'm not a fruit loop

notes: I'm thinking one sub and def a sealed enclousure and i'm going to use the stock head unit(navi in my case-not sure if it makes a diff?). I want the bass to hit hard and i want it to be precise. The first thoughts that came to mind were a XXX 10 in a sealed box but there a little too expensive. How do the SXs and SEs sound sealed? I'm mentioning RE audio because i had one before and i thought it was great. oh yea 10s are cool 12s maybe* and anything larger is a NO NO

whatsup man.....i used to have 2 10" SE's. they sound great sealed, but dont expect emt o be anything like ur old ported HC. why not just get a 10" or 12" SX and port it? that would be a sweet setup. A single SE would be sweet as well ported.

12 xxx is a little much don't you think?? 1000watts would power it nicely?? it would be a waste?? what about 2 SE 10s ?? or one SX12? fvck possibly even a xxx10?

I vote for sx 12, nearly as loud if not as loud as an xxx, and cheaper. Plus, 1000 watts is right what she wants.

SX does well in ported boxes. i am unsure of how welll it does sealed but i know the HC's were best in ported boxes. The SE's do great sealed.

SX mainly SPL and SE is SQ..... SX will get louder than a XXX with the same amount of power below 1500Watts.

so i would go with a SE.....

Soudsplinter Rl-p 12"... thought i'd throw out a diff name than RE. And if you want precise bass I'm not sure you can beat ss. but ifn not than just ignore me. Oh, and alot cheaper than a XXX.
