Help!!!

Hi, Im having some trouble, I want to be able to turn my amp on manualy(with a switch) rather than it turn on when I turn my car on. So how can I do this I have bought a switch with the right hardware, I just need to know how to do it. Sometimes you just need to turn the amp off so the woffers dont break your eardrums!!! So any help would be great Im going to wire it in the morning so any advice will be great. Thanks!!!!

Wire the switch in series with your remote wire.

Yup. Just take the remote from the head unit, run it to one side of your switch, then run it to your amplifier(s).

i did this the other day, and i ran into the problem that it will turn off, but when it goes to turn back on, it wont do anything unless the HU is shut off, the switch is on, and its all reset.

so i dunno. itl work for sure, but it might not work as well as intended (in some cases)

that was a kenwood head unit by the way.

Ok so remote from CD player ( I have MTX wiring so that would be a little red wire for the remote). Now am I going to cut the wire to run it to one part of my switch,then run it back to my amp? Sorry for all the ? I want to get it right!!!

woah that's weird...

maybe on your kenwood amp, when the switch was turned off, the kenwood's like, "ok so there's no amps hooked up now so i'll go into protect mode on the remote line"
