Ok, Im plan on getting two kicker solobaric L5 12's either 2 ohms or 4 ohms... I want them to be at four ohms when I hook the amp up to them its gonna be a two channel amp putting out 600rms per channel at 4 ohms, which suits the speakers perfectly.. now the speakers are dual voice coil and im gonna hook it up 1 speaker to 1 channel but I want it to be at 4 ohms, now since its dual voice coil what I want to know is am I gonna need to get the kickers at 2 ohms so that with both the voice coils it adds up to 4 or can I go with the 4 ohms?

2 dual 4 ohm woofers can give you a final impedance of either 1 ohm or 4 ohm and others but lower is better if your amp can handle it. So dual 4 ohm woofers it is! Make sure you connect them properly!

Well, he said he is using a 2 channel amp, and wiring one sub to each channel @ 4ohms. That being the case, he doesn't need to wire them together for a 4ohm load, he needs each individual sub to be a final 4ohm load.....hence the dual 2ohm coils. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The amp is 2 ohm stable. Why would she want 4 ohms? That would be half the power! Pandora wants two dual 4ohm woofers to achieve max power from amp. Not sure what your thinking of! lol

Well, I answered exactly what was asked; Dual 2ohm/coil will give the 4ohm per channel that was requested. But without knowing the amp, I guess we can only assume that the amp actually is 600w/channel @ 4ohm.

Seems pretty clear, either that or very poor wording (no offense to the original poster). Hey, I could be wrong, but the one speaker to one channel to me means that they plan on hooking up one speaker to one channel, one speaker to the other channel, especially since they list the power as being per channel.
