HELP!

What do you think of this? It happend to me tonight. All of a sudden my amp (ZX600ti Phoenix Gold) made my subs blast out some low bass

note and they wouldn't stop. I turned the stereo off and the amp still made my subs play that note. I turned the car off and back on, and they still played that note, even though the stereo was turned off. I tried it again, and same thing. Finally I waited about 10 min with the car off, then tried it again. It finally stopped playing the note. After about 1 hour, played it it for about 30 minutes straight, and no problem yet. The amp was professionally installed and was given 4 gauge wire and proper connections. Any idea's about what went wrong?
