sounds like u put the wrong setting on ur DMM
Either that or they are blown.........

But yes, double check that you used the correct setting on your DMM and that you don't need to make any decimal corrections (multiply by 10, that type of stuff).

thanks 4 the welcome!

the speaker work fine at the moment, but ive had them running off the head unit for a month or so.

im going to get a four channel amp, any good makes 2 consider 1st (In England)

umm it's kind of pointless to buy an amp for a speaker you know nothing about. you'd most likely end up damaging the speaker and wasting your money. buy a sub you can at least get the specs on.

ummm guys, maybe its a 1ohm? on a dmm that would display around 0.7....

1ohm nominal is usually higher then the actual Re.

But yes, if you cant find any spec's on the sub, you prolly wasted your money.

He said it measured 0.07......7 hundredths, not .7 as in 7 tenths (there is a little 3rd grade math skills for ya'll to witness too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )

thanks 4 the help anyway, i took my car to halfords (a uk company) and had it checked out..... a tweeter was faulty and was messing up the readings

anyways i bought an amp from there with the advice the guy gave me and wired it all up except for into the back of the head unit cos im not sure where the wires go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif think ill be making another trip there tonight 2 sort it

heh, i think you should slow down and do some learning/reading before you go jumping into buying car audio. you're going to end up wasting your hard earned $$$.

If you don't know how to wire the amp to the Head Unit..... this is done via RCA's if you don't have an aftermarket head unit then you will need to purchase a high to low level convertor. These usually run about $20-30 US. I'd suggest getting a real head unit with RCA preout's instead. I never did like the quality of using a convertor.

and what sub uses a tweeter that messed up your readings??? o_O
