Ive got a mtx mxa3002 amp driving 2 fosgate subs p112s4 12s with the stock head unit. the amp has a built in rca conveter. the problem is when the volume is low the subs sound full blast when i turn the volume up the sub volume gets lower till i cant hear the subs anymore, the subs also make a krackling noise when volume is all the way up. i have 14 guage wire running from the head to the amp(mabey 4 or 5 feet). subs are wired in phase. please help

If you are exlaining this the right way, I have never heard of this before. It almost sounds like the amp is wired backwards (factory problem) nothing you did.

Has the amp ever worked right, or is this a new problem that just started happening? if it just started were there any symptoms prior?

the amp has never worked right its been like this since i hooked it up. ill try hooking up another amp to check it.

iI changed the amp out with an old one i had in the garage and it seemed to work right. i should have tried this a long time ago, would have saved a couple late nights working on it. thanks for your help, till next time
