Help!

Seeking advice. I have an 07 Dodge Magnum. WANNA REPLACE THE Head Unit WITH A DOUBLE din, bluetooth. Preferably a touchscreen and either pioneer or kenwood or alpine. Would like as much android integration as possible. Would be great if it had built in android control. I'm a lil confused after looking thru the posts and different websites. Definitely not trying to spend the $700 plus for the new pioneer android auto units. Would like it to be bluetooth controlled all the way without having to plug in a usb or aux cord. No need for dvd, steering wheel controls, nor back up camera. I'll read 10 good reviews then 5 bad ones for the various units. Somebody with knowledge please help. Also this "dual" brand I keep aeeing, is it a cheap system?

Android Auto...which is the best, and by best I mean most reliable, Android head unit software out there...costs at least $700 after tax...no way around it. There are other head units out there that claim they have Android control but they are nothing but problems.

With that being said, I tell everyone to stay away from all Android control claims. Mainly because as soon as software updates are released on the current phone platform, they usually make the phone incompatible with the radio you install. Unfortunately the only dependable smartphone control software out right now is CarPlay. It's the only one where when a customer leaves with a unit, they are gone for good minus any user error issues they are having.

Save yourself some headache. Forget about Android control through a head unit until they have it figured out like Apple does. Until then you can get really good quality head units from all the top manufacturers with Bluetooth streaming and even the ability to read your Android music files on your phone for under $400. I mostly deal with Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer.

If you think you have a few you like under those brand names let me know and I can help you decide.
