How much power are you going to put on them? The AB vfl 8 is on sale at Carsterogiant right now for 120 shipped. Don't forget the Sundown E series 8's either. They're rated for 300 but you know how that's underrated. And for 75 bucks shipped right now you can't beat them.

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC.
Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
