help

A crossover splits the frequencies between the mids and tweeters. Any component set will come with passive crossovers that are designed specifically for the speakers.

A lot of members talk about running "Active" which means they are controlling the cross over points, slope, and time alignment for each drive individually via an active capable Head Unit, External Cross over, Or some amps have the ability to by themselves...

Jew can also mix-n-match, i.e., the passive xover doesn't have to be the same brand as the mid or tweet it is supplying...just gotta make sure it is the correct setting or range for your application
