ok I just installed my amp and subs and for like 5 mins it was working great then all of a sudden the amp goes into protect if i turn it up loud so I was thinking it might be a ground problem anyone got any input?

check the ground.. possibly low voltage? i know thats happened to me before..also dave (pioneerpimp)

yeah I need to check the voltage but where's the best place to ground it?

to the frame is preferable

is your sub a dual 2, if so your amp may not be stable at 1 ohm

there dual 4's so the frame thats gonna be a ***** trying to ground it to the frame

just find a spot clear it of paint and ground it to that

I did that i sanded the area clean and its super tight

for giggles -

run a piece of ok sized wire from the negative on your battery, ( externaly this is a test still )

and hook it up to your amp ( along with your current ground wire )

and see if it still goes in to protect mode.

also, pull out your speaker wires from the amp, and check em with an ohm meter.

just to make shure that they are still at the propper ohm value.

got it was the remote turn on wire
