I have 2 JL 10" W3V3s. Each sub is in its own sealed enclosure (built to JL Audio specs). They are in a 2002 Extended Cab Chevy Truck. Each sub has an "optimal RMS rating" of 300W......should i buy a 4-channel 600W RMS amp and bridge it? What should i do guys? ANY help would b GREATLY appreciated!!

No, I would get a mono or a two channel. If you want to stay with JL I'd suggest the 500/1 it would run those subs perfectly
Not to say the JL is bad but I think there's better amps out there for the same money. What's the voice coil configuration on those subs?

I agree with you completely just seeing if the OP wanted to stay with JL which, in some case alot of people do, that's why I suggested that amp

A single mono 500watt amp would be enough but it's always nice to run at rms ratings and have headroom.

So single voice coil? What ohm? Someone said 4 ohm, is that correct?

So assuming single voice coil 4ohm subs, they can be wired to 2ohm. So you're looking for a mono amp that will do at least 600watts at 2 ohm.

What's your price range? A kicker 750.1 comes to mind. They are slightly underated so 800 watts is kind of a lot of headroom. You can pretty much run anything as long as you set the gains correctly.

Yes they are single voice coil 4-ohm JL Audio 10W3V3s.........i don't know a WHOLE lot about amps and i was just wantin' to b sure that a single mono amp would power 2 subs. The "Optimal RMS Rating" for the subs is 300W. It's just what JL Audio recommends....just a compromise between sound/power output and speaker longevity. I know the subs won't be insanely powerful but i just wanted to know what type of amp would make the subs perform at their best. I don't want to get in a brand name pissing contest...just what wattage and how many channels.

Just looking around on the internet...........i believe i should be able to find a high quality amp with that price limit. As i said before i'm not asking which brand is best i just want to know what watt amp and how many channels. I've heard a few say a mono amp is good for 2 subs so i'm guessing that's a good route to go. Still a little "shaky" on the wattage part though.

Haha, no worries we were just expressing our opinions on brands. I like JL, i have a 300/4 amp on my components. I just think they are expensive for what you get. No doubt though JL amps are clean power at advertised rms ratings.

Yes, a mono amp is what you want, it'll run those two just fine. So rms is going to be 600watts combined for the speakers. You want an amp that will do at least 600rms at 2ohm. The JL 500/1 would be a good choice like mentioned so if you see that for a really low price grab that.

The kicker 750.1 is slightly more power than you need but I bet those subs can take slightly more. It doesn't matter though, when you set your gains properly you are limiting how much power goes to the speakers.

Trying to think of some other good amps but my mind is kind of blank right now. I'll try to look some up.

The subs actual RMS is 100-500W JL just recommends 300W rms for optimal performance without damage in the long run. I will look into that Kicker amp....seems like a nice one and a good price as well. Thanks. Any other opinions will b helpful....y'all have helped tremendously.
