Ok I am a noob at this but I am getting farther and farther along in my instalation. The questions I have are:

1. I only received one color of speaker wire, can I use that for both positive and negative?

2. There are two power wires that came with my wiring kit. The long blue one has two sides one with a silver ring thing on it and the other is nothing the wire is just cut. Where do I put thes fuse I have? Do I need to cut the end of the long blue wire (next to the silver ring) and put it through both sides of the fuse holder?

3. I am assuming the short black power wire is for grounding my amp? I can hook that whereever I want right.

4. The end of my long blue wire has the ring on it, am I connecting that to the positive side of my car battery.

Your answers are appreciated.

1) yes, if the speaker wire consists of two connected wires

2) Silver ring connects to your battery. Put the fuse holder about a foot away from your battery

3) Yes it is your ground. a good spot to put it is to a strut tower (if the wire is long enough). If not, scratch away paint so you are on bare metal and throw a few screws on the ring terminal on te end of your ground to keep it from moving.

4) Yes (As stated in #2)

look on some people work logs for pics, or Big 3 pics for reference

Thanks man I appreciate your help.

Yes the speaker wire is derived of two wires together so I will use it for both positive and negative.

One more thing. The long wire I have has a black thing around the first 1/4 of it, should I just cut it like you said about 12" from the metal clip through the back part?

my god man...

ur best bet is if the car is a framed vehicle not unibody... go to the frame.. bare metal of course. use star washer's and a bolt.. if possible..

if the car is a unibody.. find the bes place... away from the gas tank ext.. you can usually see little spot weld's those are usually good area's to ground ( metal's thicker) once agina use star washer's and a bolt if possible..

other then that it's all good..

take the blue wire with the ring on it and slide it over your bozack....take the other end and stick it in the light socket...but first put the black ground wire up your ***(make sure to lube it) and you should be all set.
