i got a 91 civic and im running a mtx2301(300 watts) to a mtx 5512-44. when the sub hits sometimes the lights dim. Should i get a capacitor??

NO. Do the Big Three. And if possible add another battery Same as front.

i guess .. civics are weak? .. my corolla handles 2 amps and a MTX 7500 and front comps ..
