its called clipping, ur pushing ur amplifier harder than it's suppose to. Turn ur gains down Or don't play past 30 on ur HU

Actually if the amp is shutting down it's called going into protection. Most likely causes are gain not set properly (too high,) the speaker impedance load is too low, or system voltage is dropping too low, or some combination of the three.
