i know i dont post on here much at all, but i need some help

(i know that this wont be the best set up ever, but im just looking to find some nice quality stuff for a reasonable price) with that said, i have one alpine type R 12 in the hatch of my fox and my amp just blew so im looking for an amp now.

i found this on ebay and im not sure if this is a good amp to use with my sub, so could you guys give me some input, maybe recommend me a good amp

Is it 4ohms per voice coil or 4 ohms total?
That amp is only 2 ohm stable in stereo, so it will probably only run at 4 ohms mono. That might work if the sub has an impedance of 4 ohms.

If you've got a 2 ohm driver, you'll need a 2 ohm mono amp.

Yup, that will present a 2 ohm load to the amp if it's wired in parallel. Based on the specs on the Alpine website, you'd probably be doing well to get an amp that will do at least 500 watts rms at 2ohms.
There are tons of options but a JBL GTO601.1 is a pretty solid option that can be had for cheap.

They would both work, but they are more expensive then some other options. The v12 has that display on them that you could use if you've got an Alpine deck that's compatible, but if you wouldn't use that I'd recommend the V-power.

If I were choosing a bang for the buck amp right now I'd probably go with one of these two:
